David Taylor

David joined the insurance team at Scrutton Bland in 2009 after having a number of roles in other commercial businesses. It is this wide-ranging background that gives him a valuable insight and understanding into the challenges faced by businesses and their owners, and he has become proficient at finding solutions for them which are both practical and cost-effective. Based in our Ipswich office, David enjoys getting out and about to meet his clients and spending time getting to know them in order to better understand the insurance covers that they require. As you might expect with a Suffolk-based portfolio, David looks after a number of agricultural and marine business clients, but also handles property, liability, business interruption, motor and cyber policies, as well as managing the personal insurance requirements of some business owners and their families. Outside of work David enjoys spending time with his young family and is a keen chef. He likes to read and is an active sportsman, especially cricket, golf, rugby, cycling and sailing.
