Title: Accounts Executive
Hours: Full time
We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified full time Accounts Executive based in the Business Advisory Department in our Ipswich office.
The successful candidate will be joining an enthusiastic and energetic team combining their accounting experience with a fresh and innovative approach utilizing cloud accounting software. Their role will be to undertake and review accounts preparation work as directed and manage client relationships to deliver outstanding client service.
Main duties will include:
- Preparation and review of financial accounts
- Preparation of management accounts and financial forecasts
- Assistance with tax compliance work
- Management of a client portfolio reporting to manager/partner
- Supporting clients with transition to cloud accounting
- Supervise and support colleagues who are studying towards qualification
The successful candidate will be able to analyse and interpret information and possess good communication and computer skills. They must have a professional manner and demonstrate their ability to use their initiative in the application and use of technology. Our preferred cloud accounting platform is Xero.
Applicants must possess the ACCA or ACA qualification or be close to qualifying. Experience of business services in a practice environment is essential. Knowledge of agricultural accounting issues an advantage but not essential. Good communication, IT skills and a professional manner are also required. The role is office based but will require travel to clients’ premises, which may be outside office hours. You will therefore hold a full clean driving licence with access to your own transport.
