Looking to join an innovative and fast-moving regional firm? Scrutton Bland is a leading provider of financial services and advice to both business and private clients, and we are looking for a positive, professional and experienced manager to join our Business Advisory team.
 
As a Manager in our Business Advisory department you will join us at a time of expansion as our business grows to meet demand across our region. Scrutton Bland has a wide ranging client base across various industries and sectors to include OMBS, SME limited companies, start-ups and innovative, entrepreneurial clients. 
 
It’s a varied and pro-active role which will primarily be involved in looking after the successful delivery of accounts. What does this mean in practice? You’ll need to know how to support and motivate your team and review their work, at the same time as building long term relationships with clients to ensure a quality service is provided. Because we offer a number of financial services you’ll also be expected to liaise with other departments to help provide clear and effective advice to our clients at all times.
 
Your expertise in accounting issues and tax knowledge needs to be bang up to date, and it’s also important that you have a strong flair for technology, as you’ll be expected to help deliver our IT packages such as sblive, which are helping move our clients forward into cloud accounting and Making Tax Digital initiatives.
 
Your skill set and experience should include:
  • Qualifications as an ACA or ACCA
  • 3-5 years' UK public practice experience
  • An entrepreneurial and ambitious attitude
  • Managerial level involvement in delivering accounts preparation and advisory services of owner-managed companies, sole traders and partnerships
  • Cloud accounting knowledge experience is essential
