Finance Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our growing Finance team. As the Finance Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing an efficient and high-quality service to the business. This role will be reporting to our Head of Finance and working closely with our Finance Manager supporting with various aspects of the internal finance function.

Whilst our Ipswich office is the main location for our Finance team, we offer hybrid working from home and our offices (current office locations are Ipswich, Colchester and Bury St Edmunds).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of the purchase and sales ledger
  • Uploading invoices to Dext
  • First Approval of invoices in our internal system
  • Processing of weekly BACS runs
  • Reconcile office account with Xero
  • Enter direct receipts onto our internal system
  • Banking of cheques
  • Take credit card payments from clients
  • Assist the Finance manager with credit control including chasing of bad debts
  • Assist the Head of Finance and Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks
