An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, creative, positive and professional Tax Manager to join our Ipswich Tax Department. As a recognised and respected regional firm, we have ambitious plans for further growth and this is an exciting time to join a business which has a commitment to progression and staff development.
You will develop relationships with owner-managed business clients and high net worth individuals, thinking creatively to offer and provide wide ranging tax solutions and advice. You will also manage and develop our client portfolio, pro-actively contributing to the acquisition of new clients and new areas of work, and in particular seeking opportunities to provide joined up tax and financial planning advice in conjunction with our Independent Financial Advisers. There will also be opportunities to manage junior Tax staff and assist them in preparing personal tax returns and associated compliance forms ready for client signature and approval, including reviewing their work prior to the issue to the client. You will act as consultant to the wider Scrutton Bland Group in all areas of taxation as required.
Ideally you will have experience of:
- Have good understanding of Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax
- Enjoy being client facing
- Have excellent organisational skills
- Have good report writing skills
- Have experience in supervising and supporting junior staff
- Be ACCA/ICAEW/ATT/CTA qualified
- Ideally have your own transport
