COVID-19 Re-Opening Our Offices

August 2020

As lockdown measures are gradually being eased, we are delighted to announce the reopening of our offices five days a week from Tuesday 1st September.  We are phasing the return of staff to our offices, whilst ensuring health and safety is prioritised for both our clients and our staff.

Whilst our offices are open, our staff they are working on a rota basis, dividing their time between working from home and working in the office.  We would therefore kindly request that you book any appointment with a member of the team before you visit our offices, to ensure meetings can be carried out in a safe environment.

Please remember that we are here to support you with any questions you might have, however small. We are happy to talk through your concerns and work with you to find the right solution for you and your business.

  • How can I contact Scrutton Bland?

    Please get in touch with your usual Scrutton Bland contact.   • Can I visit one of the Scrutton Bland offices?

    Although our offices are reopening to ensure health and safety for both our clients and our staff they are working on a rota basis between working from home and working in the office. We want to continue to limit the number of face to face meetings and therefore ask that you book an appointment with a member of the team before visiting our offices. When inside our offices you will be required to wear a face covering so please bring one with you.

  • Are all of your offices open?

    Our Colchester, Diss and Ipswich offices are open, but the doors will be locked for the safety of our staff and clients.

    The member of the team that you are meeting will welcome you when you turn up to your appointment. 

  • What safety measures are in place in your offices and meeting rooms?

    Offices:  our staff are working in the office on a rota basis, so that there are fewer people at any one time, making it possible to adhere to the distancing rules.  Every employee has hand sanitiser and cleaning materials for their own desk space, which they will clean on arrival and before departure each day.  They will also use hand sanitiser before meeting any clients and will observe the 2m social distancing rule at all times. To meet current guidelines please ensure that you wear a face covering whilst in our offices.

    Track and Trace: As a safety measure, much like when you go into high street shops we are asking everyone that attends our offices, whether a member of staff or visitor a few questions about how we can contact you should we need to for track and trace purposes.

    Meeting rooms:  We have sanitiser and cleaner in all our meeting rooms.  Meeting rooms will be cleaned after every meeting.

    Reception area:  Our reception desks have screens for the protection of our staff and we ask all our clients to respect social distancing measures in place.

  • Should I wear a mask and bring my own hand sanitiser?

    Please sanitise your hands when you arrive, before your meeting.  You can either bring your own, or we have hand sanitiser available in our reception areas for your use.  Following guidance from the government, it is now mandatory for a mask to be worn in our offices.

  • Can I still send documents to you rather than making an appointment and bringing them in?

    Yes please - if you need to send documents to us, this can be done via email, the portal or via post. More details are included below:

    Portal: Our online portal can be accessed via this link. You will need to enter your email address and password to enter securely. We’ve put a useful step by step guide to help users send documents to us which can be found here. If you have any issues, please get in touch with your usual Scrutton Bland contact who will be able to help you.

    If you do not currently have access to the online portal, please talk to your usual Scrutton Bland contact and they will be able to set up an account for you.

    Post: If you are unable to scan or email your documents over, please post your documents to any of our offices and we will make sure they reach the right person.
