Scrutton Bland have been announced as one of the sponsors of the owl-based Big Hoot art trail to take place around Ipswich next year. Following from the success of 2019’s elephant trail, which raised £260,000 for St Elizabeth Hospice, the latest project will take place over the summer of 2022, and will consist of forty owl sculptures, celebrating, say the organisers “all things Suffolk”. Once again, the sculptures will be sponsored by local businesses and organisations, for the benefit of Ipswich’s community hospice.
Jason Fayers, Managing Partner at Scrutton Bland commented in appropriate style on the news of the sponsorship: “In owl honesty, we were delighted to sign up to sponsor one of the sculptures on the 2022 Big Hoot art trail, and when the Scrutton Bland Partners heard about the opportunity, they agreed without feather ado.”
Nick Banks, Business Advisory Partner added: “The forty colourful sculptures will be placed in strategic points around Ipswich town centre, and each one will be individually named and decorated, with no two owl-like. Visitors and residents will be encouraged to str-owl around the trail to find all the sculptures, and we hope lots of people will enjoy meeting Scrutton Bland’s own feathered friend near our Ipswich office on Crown Street.”
