Our sbtax+ service.

Our sbtax+ service is specifically designed to provide lawyers and legal professionals with access to specialist tax advice and support when dealing with property transactions (whether commercial or residential) or corporate transactions or when seeking a second opinion on a knotty tax issue.

The service extends to answering ad-hoc tax questions on a range of tax related issues from Stamp Duty Land Tax, VAT, Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings (ATED), Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax to other more involved issues.

How does it work?

There is no annual retainer fee involved. Instead, we only charge for the time which we spend on a matter. We charge for our time based on our hourly rate and up to an agreed time limit. However, if it becomes apparent that additional time will be needed which is above that limit, we will provide you with an upfront fee estimate which can be agreed in advance.

We would normally be engaged by you on a sub-contractor basis so your firm would become our client. This allows you to retain control of the matter. However, on more substantial matters, we would be happy to take your client on as our client if you considered that this was more appropriate.
