Emma Walker

Senior Tax Adviser

Emma is a Senior Tax Advisor supporting private clients with all aspects of their personal tax affairs.

Her work spans personal tax returns, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT), and she regularly advises high-net-worth individuals on both compliance and planning opportunities.

Emma joined Scrutton Bland in 2025 after seven years working in regional private client tax teams. She began her career by studying AAT before progressing to ATT and CTA, qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2023. With extensive experience preparing tax returns and managing wider personal tax compliance, Emma also provides tailored advice to help clients understand their position and make informed decisions, particularly around Inheritance Tax and SDLT planning.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys keeping active through gym training and running, and completed her first half marathon in 2024. She also has a passion for art, especially drawing historical buildings, and several of her own pieces are displayed around her home.
