Head of People and Culture

Empowering people to become the best version of themselves.

Georgie leads our HR team and is a key part of the strategic vision and planning across the Group.

I joined Scrutton Bland in 2020, having come from an extensive people and operations background in fashion retail. Working with people and enabling our biggest asset to really drive businesses forward has always been a passion of mine so in 2018 I decided to hang up my retail hat and self study my CIPD. I soon realised that working in an HR environment was a forever job for me.

As Head of People and Culture I am driven to deliver our people strategy and am passionate about embedding a true learning and development culture throughout the group at every level. I want to empower and enable our people to be the best version of themselves at work and really capitalise on individual skills that we have here.

In 2021, I was the key driver of Project ME, a competency framework that overhauled our traditional appraisal and review methods by focusing on behaviours and our core values. We were announced as a finalist in the CIPD Awards 2022 for the Project ME change initiative as well as the Suffolk Business Awards in late 2022.

I lead and support the HR team in driving our culture, from wellbeing and benefit strategies, to commercial focus and future thinking, to succession planning and talent management and all things in between.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my little girl and running off to Ibiza and Dubai every chance I get!
