Helen Kent-Woolsey

Senior Tax Adviser

Helen joined the private client tax team at Scrutton Bland in March 2026.

She specialises in supporting individuals and trusts with their tax compliance, providing advice on inheritance tax and capital gains tax, and solving tax problems.

Having worked with clients across East Anglia for over 25 years, including farming families and high net worth individuals, Helen has a wealth of knowledge in many areas of tax with a keen focus on individuals, trusts and estates.

Helen has experience working at small local practices through to top ten firms, and is known for her warm and compassionate approach, supporting clients and colleagues, and building strong and lasting relationships.

Her professional life has led her through various specialist qualifications, the most recent being the STEP diploma, which she passed with distinction.

Outside of work, Helen is a member of her local Church, and her interests include baking, reading and crochet, all of which she finds calm, creative and practical. And having filled her house with blankets and given more than enough hats to her husband and children, she now concentrates on making crochet clothing for herself.
