James Thurkettle

Corporate Finance Director

James works on business valuations, disposals and acquisitions, and specialises in US/UK GAAP conversion work in the education sector.

James joined Scrutton Bland in 2014 and has been working in the Corporate Finance team since 2019, helping to advise clients on business valuations, disposals and acquisitions as well as US/UK GAAP conversion projects.

James began his accountancy career with an in-house industry role for a logistics company in Felixstowe. Looking to expand his knowledge, experience and exposure he joined the Scrutton Bland Audit team in 2014, where he trained and qualified. In 2019, he joined the Scrutton Bland Corporate Finance team and has since enjoyed working on countless business valuations, disposals and acquisitions, as well as leading specialist financial statement GAAP conversion projects. Outside of work James enjoys taking part in charitable sporting events and has completed numerous half-marathons and 24-hour running events.
