Chris Hall

Chris joined the firm in 2017 having worked in tax for over 10 years.  Chris is originally from Bradford, West Yorkshire where he started his career with HM Revenue & Customs.  He moved to East Anglia in 2008, moving into practice with a regional firm and obtaining his AAT and ATT qualifications in the process.  As part of the Private Client Tax Department at Scrutton Bland, Chris is heavily involved in the Trust Registration Service declarations required by HMRC. He takes a keen interest in Capital Gains Tax and is well placed to provide advice on planning to mitigate such liabilities and the reporting of any liabilities to HMRC.

Outside of work Chris represents Great Britain at Triathlon and has placed in the top five in the European Championships for his Age Group.  The firm currently sponsors Chris to support his participation in these international events.  Chris is often seen running the streets of Ipswich early in the morning, training for his next race!
