Neil Groom

Private Client Tax Director

Neil is a Private Client Tax Director based in our Norwich office.

He began his tax career in 1998 with a local firm before moving to Ely to work in a Cambridgeshire practice. He then returned to Norwich in 2018 to join Argents Accountants who then became Scrutton Bland in 2025.

He primarily works with personal tax and partnership clients, handling tax returns, compliance, and exploring tax planning opportunities. Neil also specialises in trust work, looking after many varied trust clients, and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Outside of work, Neil enjoys origami, camping holidays with his partner Ruth, socialising with friends, and looking after their two cats, Ralph and Finbar.
