We are now accepting applications for our 2021 Apprenticeship Programme.
Scrutton Bland is a fast paced, regional firm and leading provider of Financial Services. With over 200 employees our team members include accountants, tax advisers, auditorsinsurance brokers and independent financial advisers.
We provide a two-year Trainee Programme to equip our successful candidates with hands-on experience and financial support to complete their AAT or ATT qualification. If you are interested in a career in Financial Planning, we offer a two-year programme which will see you gain Cert PFS qualification.
The support doesn’t end there. Upon successful completion of your AAT, ATT or Cert PFS qualifications, there will be a further opportunity for you to work towards either your ACA, ACCA, CTA or Dip PFS qualification. 
We have opportunities available to work within our Audit, Business Advisory, Tax and Financial Planning Departments based in either our Colchester or Ipswich Offices.
What will you learn?
Throughout the training programme you will be given hands on practical experience with a varied portfolio of clients. From our offices in Ipswich, Cambridge, Colchester and Diss we work with businesses and private clients throughout the UK and beyond to find effective solutions which meet their specific needs. Our clients are involved in a very wide variety of businesses, from high-tech research and development and higher and further education to haulage, construction, agriculture, and goods production.
Entry requirements
To be considered for this programme you will need to have at least:
  • 2-3 A levels at grades A*-C or
  • 9-5 Grade at GCSE in Maths & English Language
Key skills
  • Ability to work as part of a professional team
  • Strong ability in both Mathematics and English and a good knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail
