Andrew Strickland

Consultant

Andrew has been with Scrutton Bland for over thirty years and is now a consultant, based in our Colchester office.

With a national and international reputation in his field, Andrew supports our Corporate Finance team through his consultancy work in determining business and shareholder valuation. He is an FCA, (a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)), and is a member of the ICAEW valuation committee and is its subject matter expert. He is also on the board of the International Institute of Business Valuers and chairs its Education Committee.

Andrew Strickland has a high profile in the business valuation industry, as well as in the wider business and professional community. He has been with the firm for over 30 years. Andrew is now a consultant to the Corporate Finance team and is exclusively dedicated to supporting Luke Morris with a significant number of live valuation assignments and cases. Andrew is a member of the valuation committee of the ICAEW and is a director of the International Institute of Business Valuers. Andrew has had articles published in the UK and USA on tax and valuation matters, including an article on the control premium in UK valuation; an article in Business Valuation Update (USA) on the bid premium and its misuse for determining minority discounts (with Bob Dohmeyer); and is a regular contributor to the newsletter issued by the valuation committee of the ICAEW to its members. He has also held presentations at the annual valuation conference of the ICAEW on the control premium, on valuations for divorce purposes and on growth shares. Luke and Andrew have presented a number of webinars on business valuation to ICAEW members.
